Ryan Napier, CFP, CIM

Wealth Advisor

Education & Experience

I have been working for Assante and its affiliates since 2016, and as a licensed advisor since 2017. After graduating from The Goodman School of Business at Brock University with a degree in business administration and a concentration in finance I knew that financial services was where i wanted to apply my skills. I quickly worked to achieve my professional status within the industry and I love to use my knowledge to help others. It is the  duty of responsibility to others that comes with the territory of being a professional that motivates me most. Although I do not have a long track record of experience, my clients love that my working time horizon is in line with their own lifecycle objectives. Since I am in the early stages of my career, my clients can expect that I will be here for them for the entire journey.

Advisor Style

My style of advising is one that takes many forms. I describe it as a "hybrid" style. A hybrid style is essentially one that considers a blend of multiple styles in order to create an optimal outcome. It also means being open minded towards new ideas and ways of thinking about things. I seek to combine the best of both traditional and modern wealth building strategies. To name a few: this includes using both passive and active investment vehicles, using a more modern asset allocation strategy, increasing the use of technology in the wealth building process,  and using data strategies to gain more insight from traditional financial planning techniques.

With me, you will get a wealth building strategy that evolves over time. I strive to always make sure my clients are receiving the greatest benefit possible.

My Typical Clients

My clients typically have investable household assets of greater then $250,000.

My clients typically approach me because they are:

1. worried about whether they are making the right financial decisions on a day to day basis.

2.concerned about not having a financial plan in place or lack confidence in their existing one.

3. frustrated about the amount of time and effort they spend managing their affairs.

If any of these resonate with you or if you would like to understand how you can participate without meeting the minimum investment requirements please do not hesitate to reach out.

Personal Interests

When i'm not working or studying you can probably find me at the dog park, hiking at the cottage, or playing sports.

I have a two year old black lab mix that is bursting with energy. She keeps my girlfriend, Sarah, and I on our toes. We take her wherever we go and love to connect with other dog owners who share our passion for animals.

My cottage is located in Sauble Beach, just north west of Owen Sound, part of the Bruce Peninsula, it is  the place where I feel most at home, and I try to get up whenever possible.  The beach, hiking opportunities, and family time is what I cherish the most.

Growing up, sports was always a mainstay in my life. Hockey, football, golf, and baseball were my first loves. In recent years I have taken up the sport of tennis which has taught me the importance of control and concentration. i think it is the challenge of constantly trying to improve that keeps me involved and trying new things. I hope to one day become involved in coaching sports at the grassroots level in some capacity. I love competing against clients as well and most importantly the retreat to the pub afterwards!
