Chris Heinrich, CFP

Senior Financial Planner

Chris holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has 30 years of experience advising individuals and families on their finances and investments.  Chris is an international member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and holds a B.A. with Honours from McGill University and B.Sc.F. (with Lieutenant Governor medal) from the University of New Brunswick.

Chris views that his role as Senior Financial Planner is to simplify and improve the lives of his clients by helping them make intelligent, forward-thinking decisions with their money - decisions which will give them peace-of-mind and the ability to reach the goals they set for themselves and their families.  After listening carefully and patiently to a client’s financial concerns, Chris designs customized long-term strategies that address these issues.  He then coaches the client to implement the strategies and have the perseverance and discipline required to follow them through to the end result.

Risk is unavoidable in all decisions and strategies.  Chris takes the time to ensure his client is acutely aware of both the obvious and not-so-obvious risks in any course of action (including doing nothing).  Financial risk is most commonly associated with the weekly ups and downs of the capital markets – stocks, bonds, currencies.  However, Chris’ advice is guided by the need to address the biggest risk faced by the client’s – the risk of not achieving his or her long-term goal.

When advising a client Chris collaborates closely with Roger Piché to make best use of each person’s strengths.  This “two heads are better than one” approach provides greater value due to the mix of perspectives, experience, and areas of expertise brought to bear in any client situation.  Please see the tab for Roger which provides detail on his background and areas of focus.

Chris can advise in both English and French and, on occasion, in passable German.

New clients are accepted by referral only.

Roger Piche, PFP®, CIM®

Financial Advisor

Roger has over 30 years of experience advising individuals, families, and institutions regarding their finances and investments.  He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).  Roger is also an Associate of the Canadian Bankers Association (now CSI) and completed under-graduate studies in Economics and Commerce at the University of Ottawa.

He views his role as Financial Advisor as both a guide and coach, working collaboratively to manage clients through their priorities, creating investment and planning outcomes that are right for them.  Those outcomes include investment, tax, estate, cross border planning, and succession planning solutions with an emphasis on charitable gifting strategies.  Roger’s goal and that of the team is to simplify and improve the lives of clients by helping them make intelligent, forward-thinking decisions with their money - decisions which will give them peace-of-mind and the ability to reach the goals they set for themselves and their families.  After listening carefully and patiently to a client’s financial concerns, Roger works collaboratively with his team to design customized long-term strategies that address these issues.  He then coaches the clients to implement the strategies and to have the perseverance and discipline required to follow them through to the end result.  One of his greatest sources of satisfaction is seeing clients experience the success of reaching their goals.

Roger takes the time to understand the client’s investment preferences and objectives and ensures clients are acutely aware that risk is relative to each person’s situation.  Risk is unavoidable in all decisions and strategies.  Helping clients understand the risks at hand and how to manage them is key.  Roger and Chris have a keen understanding that the biggest risk that must be addressed is the client’s risk of not achieving their long-term goals.

As a member of the Ottawa Chapter of 100 Men Who Care, and frequent volunteer for many notable charities, Roger provides advanced consultation to clients on how best to channel their philanthropic intentions and connects them with the organizations that best meet the goals they want to achieve with their philanthropy.
