I was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Economics at Queen’s University and then attained my Master of Business Administration degree from Royal Military College of Canada. I began working at Assante Financial Management Ltd. in 2016. I am actively involved in the community and hold volunteer and board positions with United Way KFL&A, University Hospital Kingston Foundation and the Pittsburgh Community Benefit Fund

I work with young professionals to help them understand their finances and develop a financial plan that works for them. There is a lot of noise in this industry with many different opinions and products – banks, insurance salespeople, robo-advisors, your family and friends – they all seem to offer conflicting advice, leaving you to question if it actually applies to your particular circumstance.

I believe that you should understand what your investment goals are and what you need to do to get there. Life changes and moves fast - so your plan should too. I work on an ongoing basis with my clients to make sure that our investment approach is flexible and up to date as your needs change.

Some common questions that are addressed with other young professionals include:
• Should I be contributing to an RRSP, a TFSA or both?
• Should I incorporate? If not now, should I in the future?
• Do I need insurance – if so, what kind and how much?
• How can I decrease how much I am paying in income taxes?
• I am earning a decent amount of money but I feel like I am not getting ahead. How can we structure my cash flow differently?
