Our Team

Josh was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario and joined Assante in 2006 after graduating from Lakehead University's Honours Bachelor of Commerce program, where he majored in finance and minored in economics. A strong proponent of continuing education and training, Josh is a committed life-long learner of both financial and non-financial topics. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP^®), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designations.

He currently resides in Oro-Medonte and outside of the office Josh enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and the challenge that comes with being a fan of the Toronto Raptors. Active community involvement is important to him and Josh has volunteered his time with the Lakehead University Alumni Association and as a volunteer instructor with Junior Achievement.

With more than 20 years in the financial services industry, Melanie brings a wealth of experience to the role. She holds her securities license and supports Josh in delivering exceptional client service. 

When she's not in the office, Melanie enjoys downtime with her family at home in Coldwater, spoiling her grandson, Rhys, as well as their Dachshund, Lexi. Over the years, Melanie has volunteered with United Way, Relay for Life and the Canadian Breast Cancer Association. A former hockey mom, she has also volunteered her time with the Coldwater Minor Hockey Association.
