Senior Financial Planner
After graduating from Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, Paul began his financial services career at a leading Canadian bank. During his seven years with the bank, he rose through the ranks in many different cities, finishing in the position of Manager of Personal Banking. His banking experience gave him thorough knowledge of lending and cash management practices that he is able to use to his clients’ benefit.
In 1996, Paul joined Assante Capital Management Ltd. He completed the Canadian Securities Course and received the Award of Excellence from the Canadian Securities Institute. Additional education includes Professional Financial Planning, Conduct and Practices, Life Insurance, and Accident and Sickness Insurance.
As a Financial Advisor for the past 19 years, he has been meeting with individuals, families and companies to address their financial needs and goals. After collecting all of the important and relevant data, it is prioritized, and a plan is developed.Risk tolerance and time horizons are explored, and suitable investment plans are tailored to meet their requirements.Monitoring, education and updating are ongoing.
In the year 2005, Helen Walter and Paul joined forces to increase their service offering. With similar background and training, Helen and Paul work as a team in providing continuous service and financial advice.
Paul was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. He has a strong connection to the community and been involved in minor hockey as a coach and supporter for many years.
