Sam Madio, CFP, CPA, CGA, EPC

Sam is a Certified General Accountant, with many years of treasury finance experience with major companies in the corporate sector. Sam obtained his CGA designation in 1978 and completed “The Investment Fund Institute of Canada - Course” in 1992. He also completed the Ontario Insurance Commission – Life Insurance Level II in 1997.
In 1999, Sam has successfully attained and was conferred the ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ designation and subsequently licensed to use the “CFP” designation. In addition Sam has successfully completed the ‘Canadian Securities Course’ and is fully licensed for securities transactions. In 2003 Sam successfully completed the securities Branch Manager course. Also in 2003, Sam successfully completed the ‘Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning Studies’ providing a new standard of professional service for seniors. The ‘Elder Planning Counselor’ “EPC” designation helps seniors identify professionals who have the proficiency and special interest in helping seniors deal with their special needs. Sam was a long standing member of the Financial Executive Institute Canada (“FEI”) since 1988.
In 1993 Sam joined Berkshire Investment Group (formerly AIC Investment Planning) and in August 2000 joined KingsGate Wealth Management with the securities companysuccessor, Industrial Alliance Securities and joined Assante Capital Management in 2007. The major focus in the last number of years has been on individual clients’ financial planning needs for: investments, retirement planning, children/grandchildren education funding, and estate preservation in addition to providing services to small and mid-sized businesses for Group benefits and RRSP programs.
Sam has conducted a number of client investments planning seminars with several guest appearances on City Pulse 24 (CP24) television station.
He is available to speak at group, company, and community meetings to address their financial concerns and planning needs. He is also available to provide consultation on large corporate cases and estate conservation scenarios where his accounting, tax, industry expertise and product knowledge background can be well utilized.
