Rick Langille, CFP®, EPC
Wealth Management Advisor
Assante Financial Management Ltd.
Rick could’ve worked for the bank and had a good career. But he didn’t. Instead, he took the sound financial principles he learned in the financial services and banking industries, but felt he could do it even better. So, he applied them to his own firm, with the founding of Langille Wealth Partners.
When Rick graduated college, he started his financial career at a finance company, then moved on to a chartered bank where he learned credit skills inside and out. He managed to help many people. His primary focus in life was always to take care of his family, his clients, and his business. He thought, in doing so, they would help take care of him.
Rick worked diligently at improving his knowledge by attaining his CFP® and EPC designations, while taking care of families’ wealth and business issues. In 1997, Rick joined Assante, where he found they offered clients the team approach he had been seeking.
Rick has surrounded himself with professionals within and outside Assante Financial Management Ltd. in a team based practice. This allowed Rick to provide true wealth management, legacy, business and estate planning. He was able to connect with his family of clients in their offices or around their kitchen table—wherever they found it comfortable to talk about their goals and aspirations.
Rick started the firm to impart common-sense welath planning based on ‘Client-First’ principles, with the belief that their success would be our success. His legacy today is Langille Wealth Partners of Assante Financial Management Ltd., a boutique investment firm with full-service capabilities.
Linda Langille
Associate Wealth Advisor Assante Financial Management Ltd.
Linda has been a constant and guiding force at Langille’s since its founding, imparting a human
touch into the financial and wealth management planning process. Linda noted the importance of
the interactions between clients and advisors and became a huge advocate for exemplary
customer service. For Linda, it’s all about the client and there is no exception.
Similar to the goals she set for her own family, Linda believes that there are no cookie-cutter
solutions to wealth management, and as such, Langille advisors try to work for each client
individually. They must always be listening, adapting and learning, because “what we have today
is continually changing.”
Her support of the financial planning process and the firm’s client relationships demonstrates one
of Linda's ‘rules’—“Be honest, and look them in the eye. For that you will earn respect.”
Linda and Rick raised their family in Nova Scotia where they are truly at home. They are very
proud of their three children—two who work in the business—and their growing brood of
grandchildren. Their family’s values help guide the next generation of Langille’s, and the success
of their client base.
Samantha Langille
Wealth Management Advisor
Like many offspring in a family enterprise, Samantha chose her own path when starting out. She ventured overseas to Beijing after graduating from Saint Mary’s University with a degree in accounting. While in Beijing, Samantha worked for two years, rising quickly to the leadership team in charge of training management and recruitment of new teachers. She also travelled and came to appreciate different cultures, which gave her a deeper and broader understanding of the global financial landscape.
Upon returning from China, Samantha took a role at CI Financial head office as a service coordinator, assisting Assante branches throughout the West Coast of Canada.
Samantha returned home to become a Wealth Advisor at Langille Wealth Partners, where she combines her knowledge and financial expertise with her genuine desire to help others.
Having grown up in a family of financial advisors, Samantha developed a unique appreciation for financial planning early on. She was taught to live above the line, to be honest, and that solutions were always better than problems. Samantha believes in the holistic approach to wealth management, which is why she does not work in isolation. She believes planning with a team allows the client to have advisors with specific expertise assisting at every step of the process.
Samantha is equally passionate about bettering her service to satisfy customers. She prides herself on forming positive relationships with clients, which helps her to understand their individual needs when creating a plan that works.
When Samantha is not working, you can find her spending time with her family.
Tyson Langille, BBA
Wealth Management Advisor
Assante Financial Management Ltd.
Tyson’s journey in wealth management started earlier than most—back in 1996 when he took an
H&R Block tax preparation course to assist his father with client tax filings. That experience
opened his eyes to the depth of wealth planning and sparked his passion for helping clients
build secure futures.
After earning his business degree in 2003, Tyson worked at another financial services firm but quickly
realized it lacked the comprehensive, client-first approach he valued. That led him back to
Assante in 2005, where he took on the role of Branch Manager and later transitioned into
financial advising under the mentorship of a Senior Advisor. Helping clients reach their financial
goals—whether saving for the future, planning for retirement, or protecting their wealth—has
been the most rewarding part of Tyson’s career.
Brookside has been home for more than a decade, where Tyson and his wife are raising two
children. They love the peaceful country lifestyle and all that it affords—gardening, hiking the
trails behind their home, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Tyson is passionate about giving back, particularly when it comes to youth sports. Over the years,
he has sponsored a variety of local hockey, soccer, and curling teams to help support young
athletes in his community. Tyson believes in investing in opportunities that give kids a chance to
grow, compete, and build lifelong skills.
Whether it’s guiding clients through wealth planning or supporting his community, Tyson
believes in building strong relationships that stand the test of time.
Conor Demone
Wealth Management Advisor
Conor grew up in Sugarcamp, a small rural community on Cape Breton Island. Life there taught him the value of hard work and the importance of being in tune with nature’s rhythms—whether it was gardening, fishing, or preparing wood for the winter. That deep appreciation for natural cycles translated into his work today, where he finds meaning in understanding and navigating the various cycles of the economy.
Finances were always a positive topic in Conor’s family, which sparked his early interest in numbers and planning. He has come to believe that success often lies in the details—taking care of the little things is what truly makes a difference.
The best part of Conor’s day is collaborating with the Langille’s team on a client file. He loves when each person brings a different perspective to the table. That kind of collaboration leads to thoughtful, well-rounded decisions that ultimately serve clients best.
Conor’s favourite place in the Maritimes is Inverness County, Cape Breton—where both he and his wife have their roots. It’s home, and it means everything to them. When not focused on wealth planning, you’ll find Conor out salmon or trout fishing, powerlifting, or spending time in the yard working on the garden.
Patrick Whitty
Insurance Advisor
Patrick grew up in Liverpool, where he learned to appreciate the sense of community, connection, and trust that comes with knowing your neighbours in a small town. At 15, he got his first job bussing tables in the dining room at White Point Beach Lodge, where he was introduced to the service industry—and has never really left.
After later settling in Dartmouth, Patrick spent 20 years in retail management with brands like Old Navy and Bed Bath & Beyond. He particularly enjoyed developing relationships with regular clients and staff, where he continued to learn the importance of listening, problem-solving, and building trust.
Patrick transitioned into the financial sector in 2019. After nearly five years with another firm, he joined Langille Wealth Partners. Patrick tries to keep the same service-oriented mindset that garnered him success in retail. He believes in straightforward advice, clear communication, and designing custom solutions for each client.
Outside of work, Patrick spends time at any number of sports facilities with his daughter. They both enjoy growing vegetables, raising animals, and supporting local businesses.

Judy Thompson
Lead Client Administrator
My introduction to full time employment began working for a paper and envelope company, this job taught me that precision, and accuracy were extremely important, and I took these characteristics to each position I’ve held. I also worked as an administrator with a national real estate firm. After my children were born, I worked part time at a communications company, and full time when my children were older.
In 2007 I was given the opportunity to completely change careers, and joined Assante Financial Management Ltd. where I held the position of Assistant, then Branch Manager, over-seeing the compliance aspect of our branch. In early 2020 Branch management was assigned to Corporate, so today you will find me working alongside Rick Langille, supporting his clients to ensure they receive the support, he is dedicated to providing.
I currently live in Bedford with my partner of 20+ years. We enjoy traveling, golf, dinner with friends and family, summers on the North Shore, and seeing the nooks and crannies of Nova Scotia.
