I was brought up, attended university and raised my family here in the Annapolis Valley. So, I believe that I have a good understanding of our unique culture and challenges.

I believe in the power of Community and have spent much of my free time over the years volunteering. I have spearheaded and worked on fund raising campaigns; sat of the Board of Directors of the Middleton Rotary Club; served 2 terms on the Village of Greenwood Commission; and coached both minor hockey and soccer. Because of my love of hockey I served as Development Coordinator during my time on the Western Valley Hockey Board of Directors and still sit on the Board of the Valley Wildcats.

I work hard to keep my knowledge current to our changing world. As an Elder Planning Counsellor, and as the son of a "Super Senior" I see first hand what challenges we face as we age.  It is for that reason that I have recently accepted a nomination to serve on the Board of Directors of Grandview Manor.
