Charlotte Paul

Associate Portfolio Manager

Charlotte Paul is an Associate Portfolio Manager whose financial advisory practice specializes in helping women maintain – or re-establish – financial wellbeing during times of transition, specifically through divorce or the loss of a spouse. She also works with, and advises, small charities and private foundations.

Charlotte has personally had to navigate times of major transition – including the loss of a partner – which has given her a unique understanding of the fears, emotions, and challenges women face at these critical times. Her goal is to help women establish independence and financial wellbeing so they can live life to its fullest and achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves and their families.

Charlotte’s career in finance began in 2003. After spending four years working in retail banking, she moved to a sales role with top-tiered Canadian mutual fund company where she remained for nearly a decade. During that time, Charlotte worked with more than 1500 financial advisors – which allowed her to study, and gain a deep understanding and respect for, what makes a truly outstanding financial advisor.

Charlotte has been deeply involved in the charitable community in Vancouver, Toronto, and her hometown of Victoria, and has partnered with several charities across the country. She has also served as the Director on the Board of the Soaring Spirits, a charitable organization that creates resources and community for widowed Canadians.

She has been featured in numerous publications including The Globe and Mail and The Investment Executive and has also been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Under 40 by the Investment Industry Association of Canada in 2019. Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and has her Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Charlotte was born and raised in Victoria, attended St. Michaels University School as a third-generation student, and went on to earn her undergraduate degree from the University of Victoria. Having moved to Vancouver upon graduation, and then to Toronto, she decided after eighteen years it was time to return home. Charlotte currently lives in the Songhees neighborhood of Victoria with her geriatric, and somewhat grumpy English Bulldog, Benedict.
