Proven Experience In Building Wealth For My Clients
I received my Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm) in Marketing from McMaster University in 1988. After graduation, I worked in customer service and inside sales roles. I wanted to start saving for retirement but knew little at the time about where to start. I met with a bank advisor hoping to get some advice and have someone explain the various investment options available to me for retirement saving. Instead, the advisor simply handed me a brochure on the different investments, told me review what they had and to come back and tell them what I wanted.
This experience left me feeling that there must be a better way. I have always enjoyed helping people and I felt there was a big opportunity to help people manage their finances. As a result, I started a career in financial planning, earning my Certified Financial Planner designation and the Canadian Securities Course. I also earned my licenses in Life, Disability, Long-Term Care and Critical Care Insurance.
I really enjoy working in partnership with my clients to build a pathway of financial security and success. Now having over 25 years experience in the financial industry, I work with clients to build a plan that will guide them from the start of their lives, into their wealth building years, and finally planning the transition to retirement, which includes a proper strategy to start to draw down retirement savings in a tax efficient manner.
