Janine offers over 20 year's experience in the financial industry working in banking, brokerage, and financial planning environments. She also has 8 year's experience in consulting and sales to businesses. In addition to being a fully licensed advisor, her qualifications include the CFP and CPCA designations with a background in economics. Having received many service and achievement awards, she recognizes the importance of servicing client's needs first. She has appeared on CP24, York Rogers TV, and has contributed to the York Region Business Times, and Forever Young, a newspaper dealing with issues seniors face. She has also been asked to speak at many Business, Professional and Retirement Associations. In 2015 Janine was voted best Financial Planner in Richmond Hill for The Liberal Readers' Choice awards.
Most recently Janine has been awarded the Leading Women, Leading Girls award for Richmond Hill from both the Federal and Provincial governments, been a recipient of the Portraits of Giving plaque and awarded the Literacy Award for the Business Women’s Networking of York Region group, all for helping Financial literacy to flourish in York Region. In addition, Janine was a Portraits of Giving Honoree and 2018 Richmond Hill Board of Trade Business Achievement Award Recipient.
Janice has been an integral part of the team just celebrating her 20 year anniversary. She graduated at the University of Toronto with an Honours BA. Upon successfully completing her Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conducts and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), she joined Janine Purves in 1999.
As a key point of contact for clients, she makes sure all our compliance, and administrative requirements are met, so we can focus on assisting with planning, and getting your money invested for the future!
Janice is responsible for all administrative functions and completing all back-office processes. Janice is also actively involved in assisting Janine Purves with financial & cashflow planning needs. Her friendly & professional demeanor and highly organized nature mean customer service as a priority. Janice enjoys reading, when she can find the time as her 3 active kids keep her running! In fact, her focus on fitness is a requirement so she can keep up with the hockey, soccer and gymnastics competitions. Taking time to enjoy the great outdoors is one more priority to help appreciate family time!
Driven and passionate, Andrek Satkunarajah is a dedicated associate always eager to help provide any details our clients need. As a Ryerson University graduate, with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Law, Andrek has continued his interest in the financial industry by becoming both insurance & securities licensed. He is continuing to build his expertise by completing more courses at this time. He joined our team in 2013 and has been a critcal part to making things happen. That event you attended; the fundraiser you supported; the newsletter you just read; none of this would have happened without Andrek's diligence and expertise. His goal is to provide a great experience for the client which he does by assisting in meeting preparation, insurance support, product analysis, marketing campaigns, coordinating client events and executing exceptional customer care.
After hours, Andrek is the Treasurer at the Richmond Hill Toastmaster Club. His role as ‘Joy of Aging’ Event coordinator for the last 5 events has helped raise almost $350,000 for Mackenzie Health Foundation. He enjoys going to the gym, listening to podcasts, watching movies and playing sports under the sun. As a newlywed in 2018, we've had to remind him to leave a little earlier lately, so he can attend to his new bride!
